The Zebra DS8178 is a wireless barcode scanner for scanning both 1D and 2D barcodes and is suitable for sales, access control, transportation and logistics. The DS8178 effortlessly reads barcodes from paper, labels, mobile phones and computer screens. The DS8178 provides a clear ‘guide spot’ to facilitate scanning. The range of the DS8178 scanner goes up to 61 cm.
The DS8178 USB kit easily connects to any PC using the included base and USB cable. The presentation base allows for hands-free use and simultaneous charging of the DS8178. The DS8178 scanner can also be easily charged using a micro USB cable, which plugs into a USB port on a PC or a standard USB charger. The DS8178 also displays when the battery needs to be charged.
Order options:
| USB-kit: | The USB kit includes the DS8178 wireless scanner, the base station and a USB-cable. This kit is most commonly used if you want to connect the scanner to a PC or laptop.
With the USB kit, the base station gets its power from the USB port to which it is connected. |
